Congratulations to the 2022 Good Food Award winners!

The Good Food Foundation announced this year’s winners on January 14. Two WASCA members are among the North Region finalists who won 2022 Good Food Awards.

WASCA Licensed Cheesemaker Member Daniel’s Artisan (Ferndale) received an award for their cheese, Daniel’s Artisan Reserve.

WASCA Business Member Girl Meets Dirt (Eastsound) received an award for their Island Plum Shrub.

This year’s winners were chosen from a strong slate of finalists that included more Washington products.

In the cheese category, Daniel’s Artisan was also a finalist for Fuego, and Cascadia Creamery (Trout Lake) was a finalist for Glacier Blue.

In the elixirs category, Girl Meets Dirt was a finalist for their Island Pear and Bay Leaf Shrub; they were also finalists in the preserves category for their Pink Bartlett Cutting Preserves.

Joining Daniel’s Artisan Reserve among the North Region winners in the cheese category were Briar Rose Creamery (Sheep’s Milk Feta; Dundee, Oregon) and Rogue Creamery (Jefferson 2-Year Cheddar; Central Point, Oregon). The other North Region winners joining Girl Meets Dirt in the elixirs category were RAFT (Grapefruit Chile Smoked Salt Syrup; Portland, Oregon) and Rhizome (Honey Lime Tonic; Portland, Oregon).
