Familia del Norte is a new farmstead artisan cheese company focusing on Latin style cheeses that are being produced in Ferndale, Washington in a shared facility in Whatcom County.

Co-founder Nidia Hernandez is a first generation Mexicana with strong local ties to Yakima County and Whatcom County in the state of Washington. Having been in artisan cheese for 8 years, she is excited to share with the world Familia del Norte – Family of the North.

Familia del Norte is Latina-owned and is excited to represent authentic Latin style cheeses in our local community and for the West Coast.
